It has been a while after my latest article, I know, but I also knew that March would have been a very busy month. And it was busier than expected, due to last minute emergencies. Let’s discover why!
Radio Programme
On March 3 I was hosted for the first time in a radio programme! I was called live from a Swiss private radio, Radio3i, by Yari Copt, a very nice and funny guy who conducts his programme Il Monolocale di Yari (Yari’s studio flat). In his radio studio it was 1:30 pm, at my place 9:30 pm! We had a great chat about where I live, what are the similarities between Lugano and Tokyo (you can read them here), about Ramen and the Yokohama’s Ramen Museum, Japanese Curry, Katsudon, and my blog. Lost & Found
I had many work shifts in the middle of the month, from 6/7 pm to 10 pm (you can read about my part-time job here). Of course after the longest shift on a Wednesday night, I lost my house keys and rail pass! They were stored in a pass holder hanging on my backpack. And it was gone! At 10:30 pm I went to the police box in Shinjuku and completed a form about lost items, while a friend of mine helped me finding a new accommodation. I spent the night out, the day after I went to my housing agency for a copy of the keys, and then to school. The story ended in a happy way, because somebody found my case and I could have it back on Friday. Thank you Japan!
Final Exams
The week after the accident was the first of our two final exams weeks. We begun with an interview about different topics, then on another day we had to write an essay in less than one hour. We continued with a speech in front of Japanese strangers, and another day was dedicated to the listening and comprehension test. The final day concerned a reading comprehension test, a Kanji test, and a grammar test all together. At the end of the week I was completely crazy, but happy. I am pretty sure I passed all the exams, but I will know it tomorrow, when I will be told if I am admitted to the next level.
Spring Holidays
Finally spring holidays have arrived! I think I deserve it. Today for the first time in my life, after being to Japan three times, I was able to enjoy my first Hanami (花見). It is an incredible emotion that photographs cannot fully describe. But this is not all, it is time to explore. Curious? I will talk about it in my next article, stay tuned 😉

È passato un po’ di tempo dal mio ultimo articolo, lo so, ma sapevo anche che marzo sarebbe stato un mese molto impegnativo. E lo è stato più del previsto, a causa di emergenze dell’ultimo minuto. Scopriamo il perché!
Programma radio
Il 3 marzo sono stata ospitata per la prima volta in un programma radiofonico! Sono stata chiamata dal vivo da una radio privata svizzera, Radio3i, da Yari Copt, un ragazzo molto simpatico e divertente che dirige il suo programma Il Monolocale di Yari. Nel suo studio radio erano le 13:30, da me le 21:30! Abbiamo fatto una bella chiacchierata su dove vivo, quali sono le somiglianze tra Lugano e Tokyo (potete leggerle qui), sul Ramen e il Ramen Museum di Yokohama, il Curry giapponese, il Katsudon e il mio blog. Potete ascoltare l’intervista qui sul mio canale YouTube, mentre verranno mostrate alcune foto del mio account Instagram.
Perso & ritrovato
Ho avuto molti turni di lavoro a metà del mese, dalle 18:00/19:00 alle 22:00 (potete leggere del mio lavoro part-time qui). Naturalmente dopo il turno più lungo di un mercoledì sera, ho perso le chiavi di casa e il pass ferroviario! Erano all’interno di un porta pass appeso al mio zaino. E non c’era più! Alle 22:30 sono andata al box della polizia di Shinjuku e ho compilato un modulo sugli oggetti smarriti, mentre un mio amico mi ha aiutato a trovare un nuovo alloggio. Ho passato la notte fuori, il giorno dopo sono andata alla mia agenzia immobiliare per una copia delle chiavi e poi a scuola. La storia è finita bene, perché qualcuno ha trovato l’astuccio e ho potuto riaverlo venerdì. Grazie, Giappone!
Esami finali
La settimana dopo l’incidente è stata la prima delle nostre due settimane di esami finali. Abbiamo iniziato con un’intervista su diversi argomenti, poi un altro giorno abbiamo dovuto scrivere un tema in meno di un’ora. Abbiamo continuato con un discorso davanti a estranei giapponesi, e un altro giorno è stato dedicato al test di ascolto e comprensione. L’ultimo giorno ha riguardato un test di comprensione della lettura, un test sui Kanji e un test di grammatica tutti insieme. Alla fine della settimana ero completamente pazza, ma felice. Sono abbastanza sicura di aver superato tutti gli esami, ma lo saprò domani, quando mi diranno se sono stata ammessa al livello successivo.
Vacanze di privamera
Finalmente sono arrivate le vacanze di primavera! Credo di essermele meritate. Oggi per la prima volta nella mia vita, dopo tre anni che vengo in Giappone, sono riuscita a godermi il mio primo Hanami (花見). Si tratta di un’emozione incredibile che le fotografie non possono descrivere appieno. Ma non è finita qui, è arrivato il momento di esplorare. Curiosi?
