Well, well, well, the title of this article is pretty promising right? Actually the best still has to come (and I will tell you later why), but the last two weeks were pretty much special for different reasons.
Events, events, and events
“Events” is the word that better describes my current life. They fall into both “leisure” and “professional” categories since I have been to a friend’s Birthday party, an evening organized by the Japanese association I have membership in, an event by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce, and an evening Master Class managed by IE University. All these events were of course held during the week so I ended up enriched, but tired.
Japanese Halloween
Apparently the most important event of October is Halloween. It was a huge surprise for me since I have never thought it could have such an importance here in Japan. Well, I remember my friend Alessandro telling me “It is a serious thing here”, and luckily I was already psychologically prepared to cut my hair and buy the things needed for my costume. Together with my friends Beatrice and Nina we visited fabric’s stores, cosplay centers, of course we have been to Donkijote as well (I introduce this place in one of my first articles, here). Celebrations started from the last October’s weekend until the real Halloween night on Wednesday 31. On Saturday, with a group of friends, we have been to Shibuya and then to a club, while on Wednesday I was alone with Beatrice, celebrating in a crazily crowded, loud, and full of police Shibuya. I did the first cosplay of my life! I was Kirihime Natsuno from Dogs and Scissors, a Manga (and Anime) that almost nobody knows. I cut and dyed my hair and dressed exactly like her, I also had the dog with me! Have a look to the picture at the end of the article, and on my Facebook page. Tell me what you think about it! 🙂
Relaxing visits
Before and after these crazy events I also did some relaxing visits: I have been to Meguro, where I tried to find the mistakenly blooming Sakura without any success (Italian media said that Japanese streets were pink, I can assure you that it was more than a fake news), and I visited the Gohyaku Rakanji temple with its amazing statues. I then enjoyed the view of autumn leaves in Yoyogi park, and watched Tokyo from the last floor of the World Trade Center near Hamamatsucho station.
What’s next, are you asking? Apart from other events like the ones quoted above, if I don’t have a heart attack for too many emotions, it will be a miracle. What awaits for me are the Mid-term text, a concert (I keep it as a secret), a friend of mine coming from Switzerland who will stay at my place, a new country’s visit, and finally the N3 JLPT exam. If I suddenly go on hiatus, you know why 😛

Bene, bene, bene, il titolo di questo articolo è abbastanza promettente vero? In realtà il meglio deve ancora venire (e vi dirò in seguito perché), ma le ultime due settimane sono comunque state davvero speciali per diversi motivi.
Eventi, eventi ed eventi
“Eventi” è la parola che descrive meglio la mia vita attuale. Entrano nelle categorie “divertimento” e “professionale” dal momento sono stata alla festa di compleanno di un amico, una serata organizzata dall’associazione giapponese di cui faccio parte, un evento della Camera di commercio svizzera e una Master Class serale gestita dalla IE University. Tutti questi eventi sono stati tenuti durante la settimana, quindi ne sono uscita arricchita, ma stanca.
Halloween giapponese
Apparentemente l’evento più importante di ottobre è Halloween. È stata una grande sorpresa per me dal momento che non ho mai pensato che potesse avere una tale importanza qui in Giappone. Bene, ricordo che il mio amico Alessandro mi disse: “È una cosa seria qui”, e fortunatamente ero già psicologicamente pronta a tagliarmi i capelli e comprare le cose necessarie per il mio costume. Insieme alle mie amiche Beatrice e Nina abbiamo visitato negozi di tessuti, centri di cosplay, naturalmente siamo state anche al Donkijote (introduco questo posto in uno dei miei primi articoli, qui). Le celebrazioni sono iniziate dall’ultimo weekend di ottobre fino alla vera notte di Halloween di mercoledì 31. Sabato, con un gruppo di amici, siamo stati a Shibuya e poi in un club, mentre mercoledì ero da sola con Beatrice, a festeggiare in una Shibuya folle, affollata, chiassosa e piena di polizia. Ho fatto il primo cosplay della mia vita! Ero Kirihime Natsuno di Dogs and Scissors, un Manga (e Anime) che quasi nessuno conosce. Mi sono tagliata e tinta i capelli e vestita esattamente come lei, ho anche avuto il cane con me! Date un’occhiata alla foto alla fine dell’articolo e sulla mia pagina Facebook. Visite rilassanti
Prima e dopo questi folli eventi ho fatto anche delle rilassanti visite: sono stata a Meguro, dove ho cercato di trovare i Sakura erroneamente sbocciati ma senza successo (i media italiani hanno detto che le strade giapponesi erano rosa, posso assicurarvi che era più che una notizia falsa), e ho visitato il tempio Gohyaku Rakanji con le sue incredibili statue. Mi sono poi goduta la vista delle foglie d’autunno nel parco Yoyogi e ho visto Tokyo dall’ultimo piano del World Trade Center vicino alla stazione di Hamamatsucho.
Cosa succederà poi, state chiedendo? A parte altri eventi come quelli citati sopra, se non avrò un attacco di cuore per troppe emozioni, sarà un miracolo. Ciò che mi attende sono l’esame intermedio, un concerto (lo tengo ancora segreto), una mia amica dalla Svizzera che risiederà a casa mia, una visita a un nuovo paese e infine l’esame N3 JLPT. Se improvvisamente vado in pausa, sapete perché 😛
Immagino che ci sentiremo di nuovo a dicembre!
